Faqs
-What type of maintenance should be performed on the saw accessory tool?
To ensure the proper functioning of the multifunction tool and to maximize its lifespan, it is recommended to regularly clean the space behind the bar cover (depending on the frequency and intensity of use), as dirt and sawdust constantly accumulate in these areas.
It is advisable to regularly check the chain oil level inside the tank to ensure that the cutting tool is always adequately lubricated. Then make sure that the chain is always running in the rail, and if not, thread it yourself or visit an authorized maintenance provider.
It is important to refer to the user and maintenance manual for details on each of these activities.
-Do the cutting blades require maintenance or sharpening?
Cutting (especially hedge trimming) leads to the accumulation of debris and dirt between the blades. Without the necessary maintenance, this problem can reduce cutting performance.
The blades should therefore be cleaned and oiled after each usage period. This can be done with a dry cloth, using a brush if necessary to remove the most stubborn dirt. The blades can be oiled by applying a thin layer of specific oil (Stiga recommends using non-polluting products) along the top edge of the blade.
Please consult the user manual for further information on this point.
-The blades of the hedge trimmer accessory seem to operate as if they are not clean or fluid. What could have happened and what should I do?
Where the blades tend to get stuck and a reduction in cutting performance is noticed, possibly along with increased noise from the blade, it is necessary to check the cutting element.
If the problem persists even after cleaning and oiling the blades, the solution is to sharpen them.
For safety reasons, it is better to have this done by an authorized Stiga dealer. Once sharpened, the cutting system will return to operating precisely and smoothly.
Finally, remember that an excessively worn or damaged blade should not be sharpened but always replaced. Again, the Stiga dealer network is always available.
-What should I do when not in use?
During periods of non-use, it is recommended to remove the batteries, clean the cutting elements, and store the multifunction tool in a safe place, taking care to protect the blade inside their storage compartment.
The battery 274015004/st1 4Ah or 274015004/st1 5 Ah and the charger 274030004/st1 are not included. They must be purchased separately.
